By using BunkerPDF you agree to the terms below. They are deliberately brief.

The service

BunkerPDF provides free tools for working with PDF files. The tools run in your browser on your own device. No account is required and nothing is charged.

Your responsibility

You agree to use these tools only with files you have the right to work with. Specifically:

• The Unlock tool is for removing a password from a document you are authorised to open and already have the password for. It does not guess or break passwords. Using it to strip protection from a document you have no right to is your responsibility alone.
• Do not use these tools to infringe copyright, tamper with documents you are not entitled to alter, or break any law that applies to you.

No warranty

These tools are provided as they are, with no warranty of any kind. They are used widely and built on mature open-source libraries, but no software is free of defects, and PDF is a large and quirky format. Always keep your original file until you have checked the result. BunkerPDF is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the site, including damaged or unusable output.

We cannot recover a lost file or a forgotten password, because neither ever reaches us. This is a direct consequence of the privacy design and not an operational limitation we could choose to work around.

Availability

The site is offered on a best-effort basis, with no guarantee of uptime. Tools may be changed, added or withdrawn at any time.

Intellectual property

You keep all rights in the files you process — we acquire nothing, since we never receive them. The site’s own name, design and code remain the property of their respective owners. The underlying libraries are used under their own open-source licences.

Governing terms

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Continued use of the site after a change to these terms constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
